How to Talk to Children About World Events

Parents and caregivers are concerned today about the effect of war and other bad news on children. Our children are being exposed to many startling images on tv and hearing detailed stories on the radio that may disturb them. There are parents and teachers asking "How can we help our children deal with these world events"?

Childcare Resources has developed a packet of information entitled, "Helping Children Cope With Traumatic Events". The packet includes hints on how to talk with pre-school as well as school-age children and other ways to help them cope with today's world events. The packet also includes a list of resources for further information.

If you are a parent or a teacher looking for positive ways to help the children in your life cope with the events of the day, come by Childcare Resources to receive the FREE "Helping Children Cope With Traumatic Events" packet.
