KEYNOTE SESSION:
Stuart Stotts
Stuart Stotts is a songwriter, storyteller, and author from La Farge, Wisconsin. Since 1986, he has traveled the world performing, presenting, and leading educational workshops. A Kennedy Center Teaching Artist since 2003, Stuart has released several award-winning recordings, including Celebrate and Pass It On Down (both with Tom Pease), which have become essential resources for educators working with young children. He is also the author of several books, including We Shall Overcome: A Song That Changed the World, an American Library Association Honor Book in 2013. His book Beyond Nice serves as a guide for nurturing kindness in young children and is widely used by early childhood educators.

INSTRUCTORS
This year’s event, themed Wonder, Play, Grow: The Magic of Early Learning, will bring together child care professionals and leaders to discuss important issues related to our youngest learners in Alabama. Best practices begin with the early childhood educator’s knowledge of how children learn and develop. Our sessions will focus on developmentally appropriate practices, positive guidance, inclusive practices, professional growth and leadership.

VENDORS
Our amazing vendors will get to share their business, company, or product with 175+ early educators through our in-person Vendor Expo. This is a unique opportunity to talk one-on-one with members of the early care community, present special discounts or promotions, and make connections with child care programs across Central Alabama.
