Make Mother's Day Count

Updated: May 7, 2020

Mother’s Day is a very special day to celebrate the people who play a huge role in

shaping the lives of our children: our mothers, our grandmothers, our friend’s mothers,

our mentors, and our friends. Mother’s Day is on Sunday, May 10, and though it might look different this year, we hope you will join us in celebrating those who play such an important role in our lives.

Childcare Resources is dedicated to making quality child care happen for children, families, our community, and especially the mothers enrolled in our Supplemental Child Care Program. Since the creation of our SCCP program, Childcare Resources has helped thousands of families receive financial assistance to allow children to have access to high quality care and education while their parents maintain their jobs and continue working to provide for their families.

At this time, 100% of families enrolled in our SCCP program are single, working mothers, and 40% of those mothers are currently on the front lines of the pandemic as healthcare professionals. These mothers are not only navigating the stress of the health crisis at their job every single day, but are also worrying about how they can continue to provide the quality child care for their young children.

Childcare Resources invites you to join us this Mother’s Day to honor your mother, your friend, your grandmother, and support our Supplemental Child Care Program, so that the mothers on the front lines of the pandemic can continue to work while having peace of mind that her children are safe and cared for each and every day.

$1,000 is the average cost for one year of financial assistance for a family enrolled in our Supplemental Child Care Program.

We hope you will consider making a gift in honor of a mother you know in support of the hard working women Childcare Resources empower all year long. We thank you in advance for opening your hearts to your neighbors and the wonderful mothers in our community.

Please contact Morgan Emahiser at mhargrove@ccr-bhm.org for more information

about our Supplemental Child Care Program or more ways to support the mission of Childcare Resources.
