Join Us: Celebrate Childcare Resources’ Birthday!

For over 36 years, Childcare Resources has made claim as Central Alabama’s only child care resource and referral agency. In 1984, United Way of Central Alabama created Childcare Resources as an outgrowth of a child care task force to address critical child care needs identified in Jefferson, Shelby, and Walker Counties, with Blount County added to the service area in 1988. Childcare Resources is a Birmingham, Alabama based non-profit organization whose mission is to make quality care and education of children happen by providing information, education, and assistance to families, providers of child care, and the community.

Join us this month in celebration of our 36th year serving children, families, and child care providers in Central Alabama by supporting Childcare Resources in one (or more!) of these ways below:

• Advocate: Check out any of our advocacy resources to help play a part in affecting positive change to benefit the communities in which we work and live. There's power in numbers! One simple, yet effective, way to advocate for the children in our community is to write a letter to your legislator about the work Childcare Resources is doing in our community.

• Support the 2020 Virtual Fairy Tale Ball: Childcare Resources’ annual fundraising event has transitioned to an online, interactive experience. Purchase your Family Ticket today for an enchanting, fun-filled evening, or consider donating items from the Wish List to offset operational costs from the event to allow more dollars to be directed back to our programs and services.

• Support our 2020 Next Generation Campaign: We are less than $1,000 away from reaching our goal! Help us reach our goal to serve even more children and families who need access to high-quality early education now, more than ever.

• Follow us on social media: Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages to keep up with important agency updates and information. By “liking,” commenting, and sharing our posts with your friends, you help provide awareness and information about our programs and services.
