Childcare Resources offers several programs to assist children, families, and child care providers in the Greater Birmingham area, specifically Blount, Jefferson, Shelby, and Walker counties. Our unique program, the Resource and Referral Program, is a free service that guides families through the process of locating quality child care.
Parents can use this tool to create a customized list of child care centers based on their specific, individual child care needs. In 2019, we helped over 500 parents narrow down their search and provided educational materials and resources to guide them in recognizing quality child care when they visit potential providers.
Our team at Childcare Resources understands that finding child care can be difficult, especially in central Alabama, where currently there are more than 500 child care programs open and operating. Below are a few ways you can get started with your child care search today:
